Poor oral hygiene can lead to a variety of dental and medical problems such as gum disease, infection, bone loss, heart disease, strokes and more. Regular cleanings and check-ups can prevent these problems as well as provide you and your family with the support for good oral health. Most children and adults should see their dentist for a regular check-up and cleaning every 6 months. Our experienced dental staff can help preserve your family’s dental health.

The need for dental care and prevention
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are some 500 million dental visits each year in the United States at a cost of some $50 billion. However, there are still many adults and children who suffer from oral diseases that could be prevented. Here is another startling fact: an estimated 30,000 Americans are diagnosed with oral and pharyngeal cancers each year, resulting in more than 8,000 deaths. Many of these deaths can be prevented with regular dental exams. Also, nearly 20 percent of preschoolers suffer needlessly from tooth decay. Proper preventive care– regular check-ups, brushing, flossing, fluoridation and dental sealants – can significantly reduce these risks and the suffering that comes with them.
