HackensackUMC Mountainside has made significant investments in the latest technology, equipment and resources for its various surgical specialties, including a new navigation system for MRI-guided surgery and high definition video monitors to assist with endoscopic procedures.
HackensackUMC Mountainside maintains nine operating room suites, four endoscopy rooms, two large same-day nursing units, a fully equipped post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), busy Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), and spacious patient waiting rooms. Over 12,000 procedures are performed here annually.
HackensackUMC Mountainside nurses are well trained and extremely dedicated. The majority are certified in their respective surgical specialty, which translates to better patient care. In addition to our highly trained, certified support team of nurses, our surgical assistants and technologists play an important role in patient care.
All of our patients are educated, admitted and discharged by a registered nurse – not a technician – and patient safety is our paramount concern.
