Medical Staff Services

The Medical Services Administration Department performs credentialing and privileging functions for medical and allied health professional staff. The Medical Staff of HackensackUMC Mountainside currently have over 600 members within a variety of specialties. The department follows credentialing standards mandated by the federal government, state government and regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission. 

Medical Services Administration is located on the ground level of the Schumann Building and consists of staff members coordinating initial appointments, reappointments, medical staff meetings, call schedules, complaint resolution, bylaws maintenance, social events, and many other medical staff functions. Medical Staff Services offers physician orientation for new medical staff members, annual physician education for current medical staff members and provides medical staff verification information in response to requests from all third parties.
