Center for Nursing Practice

Our vision is to demonstrate excellence in nursing through education, practice and research.

The Center for Nursing Practice houses all of Mountainside Hospital's (MSH) nursing education programs and includes three primary areas:
  • School of Nursing
  • Continuing Education for Nurses
  • The Caldwell College BSN Program in Partnership with Mountainside Hospital
Diploma Program

The Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing was established in 1892 and has educated over 3,100 students toward nursing careers.  The Hospital and School of Nursing's administrations, its faculty and staff all remain committed to maintaining a high-quality learning environment for students choosing to begin their nursing career through this option.  For more information, click on the link below: Continuing Education for Nurses

We support ongoing professional development and provide comprehensive education programs that enhance the implementation of best practices in all areas of nursing.  Our goals are to:
  • Provide supplementary education that ensures competent patient care
  • Serve as a resource to staff nurses by helping to identify and coordinate educational and practice needs
  • Lead educational initiatives that further integrate current technology in the Hospital's nursing practice
