Mountainside Hospital’s Nursing Extern Program

Earn while you learn

For students entering their final year of nursing school, the Mountainside Hospital summer Nursing Extern Program is an ideal way to turn theory into practice while learning from extraordinary nurses, physicians and other health care providers.

Our program runs for approximately eight weeks and consists of full-time work, and includes every other weekend. Only students entering their final year of nursing school are eligible to apply.

Participants are able to apply text theory into practical hands-on experience through our hospital-based clinical programs, classroom training and weekly meetings with their preceptor. Even better, as a paid extern, you’ll earn while you learn.

A total of seven students will participate in the program which begins June 5, 2010 and ends August 6, 2010. We are glad to have you at Mountainside Hospital and hope you will have a pleasant experience.
