Montclair, NJ, July 12, 2012 – Effective July 1, 2012, ownership of Mountainside Hospital was officially transferred to a joint venture of the Hackensack University Health Network and its partner LHP Hospital Group, Inc. from Merit Health Systems, LLC, marking the start of a new era for the 121 year-old, 365-bed facility that will now be known as HackensackUMC Mountainside.
