Living With Cancer
A safe place to share your experiences, concerns and resources with others facing cancer. The group is open to anyone in the community with a cancer diagnosis, at any point in treatment and beyond.
First & third Thursday of every month
10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Harries Pavilion entrance, take Harries elevator to second floor, follow signs to the Cancer Center conference room. Free and open to the community. Pre-registration is required.

Healing Stitches
Community member facilitated support group for those with a cancer diagnosis and friends from the community gather weekly to knit and crochet, while catching up and sharing hope. Families and caregivers are welcome.

Caregiver Support Group
Cancer doesn’t only affect the person with cancer. The group offers support and resources to help family members and friends who are facing cancer alongside a loved one.
Second Tuesday of every month
10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Bariatric Support Group
The Center for Advanced Bariatric Surgery hosts monthly support group meetings run by experienced healthcare professionals. These meetings address various nutritional and behavioral topics to motivate and promote weight loss and a healthy lifestyle.
These groups are limited to patients who have had surgery with the Center for Advanced Bariatric Surgery at Mountainside Medical Center. Please call the center for dates, times and topics. The Center for Advanced Bariatric Surgery

Stroke/Aneurysm Support Group
This space gives individuals an opportunity to meet others that have been affected by stroke or aneurysms in any way. A safe place to express feelings within a supportive environment. A place to learn helpful information from each other. An opportunity to cope and handle difficult situations as it relates to a stroke or aneurysms, and having a feeling of acceptance knowing that you are not the only one in this world that has been affected by this.
All support groups will be held on on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in Hospital cConference Room 1 at Mountainside Medical Center. For dates and pre-registration please contact Daniel Chaiket, R.N. Daniel Chaiket, MSN, RN-BC, SCRN

Support groups are listed here as a community service. These are community-based meetings, not hospital-sponsored meetings, and therefore are open to the public. Please call ahead to learn if there are any fees to use the resources, and to ensure the support group is still meeting.
