Cardiac rehabilitation is a medically supervised program for individuals recovering from a heart attack, angioplasty, stent, valve surgery, congestive heart failure (CHF) or heart transplant surgery. Participants work with a team that includes a cardiologist, registered nurses, exercise physiologists and registered dieticians to improve their physical fitness and conditioning, learn proper exercise techniques, reduce risk factors and establish proper dietary habits.

Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation

This supervised, six- to 12-week exercise program meets three times per week. During exercise sessions, your heart rate, blood pressure and heart rhythms are monitored by a telemetry system. Every participant must be referred by a physician and progress reports are sent to the referring physician every 30 days. Click here for a more detailed Phase II Cardiac Rehab summary.
