Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation

Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation is for individuals recovering from a heart attack, angioplasty, stent, heart failure, valve surgery, congestive heart failure (CHF), stable angina, and heart transplant surgery. Participants work with a team that includes a cardiologist, registered nurses, exercise physiologists and registered dietitians to improve physical fitness and conditioning, learn proper exercise techniques, reduce risk factors and establish and maintain proper dietary habits. Every participant must be referred by a physician. This program runs 6 to 12 weeks and is covered by Medicare for qualifying patients. During exercise sessions, your heart rate, blood pressure and heart rhythms are monitored by a telemetry system. Every participant must be referred by a physician and progress reports are sent to the referring physician every 30 days. Learn more about this program here.
