Kenneth W. Faistl, MD, Program DirectorFaistl

Dr. Faistl is a Past President and Chairman of the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians who was honored as the state’s “Family Physician of the Year” in 2010.  He is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine and has also been awarded a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics.  In addition to his role as Program Director for the HackensackUMC Mountainside Family Practice Residency, Dr. Faistl is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at his alma mater, the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (formerly UMDNJ).


SchlamEverett W. Schlam, MD, Assistant Program Director

Dr. Schlam is a board-certified Family Medicine doctor who was honored as the state’s “Family Physician of the Year” in 2009.  He is a graduate of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School – Camden. Dr. Schlam is a physician for Mahwah Public School System, the Midland Park Public School System and Student Health Services at Montclair State University. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor - Department of Family Medicine, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and both a Chair and Professor with the Department of Family Medicine, St. George’s University School of Medicine.

 

Miller

George W. Miller, MD

Dr. Miller is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. He is an alumnus of the Family Medicine Residency Program at HackensackUMC Mountainside who attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ –Camden. He has also completed a fellowship in Addiction Medicine at HackensackUMC Mountainside. He is an Assistant Professor with the Departments of Family Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine at the New Jersey Medical School, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and St. George’s University School of Medicine.

 

Faber

Mark Faber, MD

Dr. Faber is a graduate of the Ross University School of Medicine who completed his residency training at Connecticut Valley Hospital (a Yale affiliate) and fellowships in Child Psychiatry and Sleep Disorders at UMDNJ.  He is in private practice in Montclair and serves as Director, Division of Pediatric Psychiatry for St. Barnabas Pediatrics. He is also a licensed psychologist and a clinical member and approved supervisor in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

 

GeorgePreethi George, MD

Dr. George attended the Miraj Medical College and completed her residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Medical Center. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is also an Assistant Professor with the St. George’s University School of Medicine.

 

 

 

Kevin Berg, MDBerg

Dr. Berg is a graduate of the Ross University School of Medicine who completed his residency and a fellowship at CentraState. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  Dr. Berg has also been awarded a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics.  He is an Assistant Professor with the St. George’s University School of Medicine.

 



Gjoni

Indira Gjoni, MD

Dr. Gjoni is an alumna of the HackensackUMC Mountainside Family Medicine Residency Program who attended the St. George's University School of Medicine. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is also an Assistant Professor with the St. George’s University School of Medicine.

Dr. Salerno is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who completed her residency at HackensackUMC Mountainside Family and a residency/fellowship in burn/hand plastic surgery at Harlem Hospital. She is a graduate of the St. George's University School of Medicine who now serves on its faculty as an Assistant Professor.

 

 

ShiadiAiman Shilad, MD

Dr. Shilad earned his medical degree at the St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson. Dr. Shilad is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also certified in and credentialed to perform surgery using advanced daVinci robotics.

 

 

Cruz Daniel Cruz, Ph.D., ABPP

Dr. Cruz is a Child and Adolescent Services Board-Certified Counseling Psychologist (ABPP-Co), an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) and an Assistant Professor, Seton Hall University, Professional Psychology and Family Therapy (PPFT) He completed an APA accredited internship at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC).
